Republic Day

Yes, I am late,, late in putting the post, late in sharing my yesterday experiences with you, late in wishing you for the "Republic day".
Is it only because of my irregularity, or the network problem can be put to blame? Yes, this sounds easy but will it not be lie.
I wanted to write this post but , lying in my cosy bed, watching Republic day procession , and watching most of serials putting forth their patriotism,I felt like ok, I can post in the evening, then it dragged to night. Getting up from my bed leaving cosy warm quilt seemed to be too much effort.After all this was a luxury I could not enjoy for past several weeks.But still I would like to share with you, the talks I had with few people(some known, some strangers)yesterday.
I just got curious to know what Republic day means to different people.
Here are some of the answers:
" Republic Day, are bhai ye kya sawal hua, Republic Day mane republic Day, Bole to, Parade, Flag Hoisting, Cultural Programme, What else?"On probing little further, " apna India aajad hua tha us din,itnaich nai maloom tum padhe like manush ko!"
2nd Reply" Republic Day , its a gazetted holiday, apne liye to sab din barabar hain, kya Independence day, kya Republic day.bas chutti milni chahiye"
3rd reply" Republic day ko hamara constitution bana tha"
" Republic dayko kya special hota hai" Poochne par ek house wife ka answr, baccho ko cultural programme, fancy dress , aur competition ke liye taiyaar karna padta hai, its so much of competition these days........." aur unki school puran vahan se chaloo ho kar , kab government, mahngai, aur sales tak aa gayi. pata hi nahin chala, jab pata chala, 2:30 ho gaye the.
kuch padhe likhe mahunubhavo ne ye answers bhi diya, ki itna celebrate karne ki jaroorat kya hai, thik hai hua hoga is din constitution lagoo, har sal is par itna taam jham kyon, itne kharch mein to har gareeb ko kuch din ka gujar basar ka paisa mil jaye, to accha ho, " baat sahi thi par shayad alfaz aur kahne ke dhang se republic day ki spirit par pani pd gaya.
neeche desh bhakti ke geet chal rahe the aur TV par manoj kumar ki kranti. maine bhi socha ki ye bevajah ka survey band kiya jae. yoon bhi sabne apni sahuliyat se republic day ke arth bana liye hain,
par shaam ko slums(mere ghar ke nikat hi slums hai) ki do bacchiyaan ek chote se box mein toffee le kar aayi to ye soch kar ki unka birthday hoga, unko sweets dete hue , ek pen unko gift ke liye badhaya, aur unhone kaha" Birthday nahin, Republic day" I was touched.I asked who told you to distribute toffee on republic day, she replied that her parents.I also got the first correct answer for my question from them.Dhanya hai vo abhibhavak jinhone unhein ye sanskaar diye. Utni samajh di ki sirf patriotic songs suna, leaders ke flag hoisting karne par taaliyaan bajana aur patriotic songs sunna hi republic day nahin, mahatvapoorna hai chetna failana , vo 50 paise ki toffee ke madhyam se hi kyon na ho, par bahut se logo ko ek matlab ki baat jata gayi, kyon na hum republic day ko ek naya roop dein"A day for Reaching out, Reaching for those who have slept, Reaching out for those who are deprived, a day for bringing hope and a Day for reinforcing our faith in our constitution".
