Good Bye Pluto!

"Mercury , Venus, Earth, Mars,Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune , Pluto". A typical answer of even a 4th grade student if anyone asks him/her to tell the name of planets.This is what we have read and taught. But not any more.Pluto has been dethroned from planet status.



In a recent development about the definition of planet at Prague , Pluto has lost its place as a planet.Jay Pasachoff of Williams College in Williamstown, Massachussets opined "I think that today can go down as the day we lost Pluto."
It is now included in a family of "Dwarf planets" including Ceres, Charon, Xena and plutoand thusand other smaller solar system bodies according to committee appointed by International Astronomical Union.The decision found grounds from tiny size and tilted orbit. "Scrabble goes pink"
I was about to ignore it as another publicity gimmic, as just recently hutch went pink(though the color looks horrible as compared to the orange one).Then I gave a glance to the article and found this change to be towards a novel cause.Scrabble , invented in 1948, had been very popular and all different versions of this boardgame in different languages were welcomed with open arms by people.It has changed its color first time in the history to raise money for research into breast cancer, its makers Mattel announced.

Letters, tiles, racks, boards and boxes will be tinged pink, with 1.50 pound from each pond 15 sale going to cancer charity from mid September.Seeing the escalating breast cancer cases and inadequate fundings available, it is a quite a applausable step.

ek virodhabhas

Today , I wrote my exam, may be the last academic exam for an official degree.I was very nervous as I could not prepare any thing , blame it to my negligience, lack of planning or sudden trip to Delhi. was just wondering what I am going to write but you came to rescue.......exam mera tha pariksha tumhari ho rahi thi......

Exam hall tak ka safar, kuch kuch sahmi si main, tabhi vohi elderly lady dikhi, parso ke exam mein jo 5 minute extra le gayi thi, exam hall ki sust ghadi bana kar.Unka parichay poocha, jan kar accha laga ki aaj 30 saal baad vo ph.d kar rahi hai, mera sar jhuk gaya un ke samne, itni lagan , itna prem shiksha se. aur poochne par jana ki vo adhyapika hai, ek prathishit college main. achcha laga aur bhi ki jis mein shiksha ka itna anurag ho, vohi to kisi ko prerit kar sakta hai, bilkul sahi vyakti shikshak hone ke liye.......
bhram toota......
kuch der baad pariksha shuru hone par aaram se purse se ek parcha nikala aur likhna shuru....mere unhein ghoorne ka bhi kuch asar nahin, itne nishchint bhav se vo nakal karne mein magan thi ki kya kahiye.
ek shikshika .........
kya yahi rah gaya hai shiksha ka aadarsh?
ye upadhi ka moh kya aapko apne siddhanto se girane ke liye kafi hai....
kya vo apne bachcho ya kahiye ki apne vidhyarthiyon ko koi aadarshon ki dharohar payengi.......
tab bhi sar jhuka tha mera, ab fir se jhugk gaya par is baar shraddha se nahin sharma se.............ab fir se vahi baat.........kya ye hain bilkul sahi vyakti shikshak hone ke liye?
