Is God a headmaster?
Just few days back , had a discussion about God and His miracles with a senior person of the lab whom I respect a lot. As usual I was angry with God . No it was not " WHY ME? " type of questioning , instead it was " WHY HER" . I am really really angry with God for snatching my mother away from me. Its painful but more than that her sudden death has changed the whole perspective of life for me. It has shaken my belief in all the GODS and Supreme powers. My Senior tried to bring back the faith and devotion and gave me a book " SRI GURU CHARITA". More I was trying to avoid reading it, more it was attracting me. For some time , I got peace of mind but again, one irony has made the things back to their place. While on my way to office, a boy was sending idols of God, he was bargaining with people and reply of a lady perplexed me "AB TO BHAGWAN BHI MeHANGE HO GAYE?" Very true, today if you go and offer a prasadam, or some dakshina, price iswhat that matters. Devotion and faith are useless commodities. I don't know whether we have commercialized the GOD or GOD has commercialized himself but one thing is for sure, that:
"is badalti duniya ka khuda koi nahin
saste damon me har roz khuda bikte hein"
Otherwise why do we see more and more people flocking to temples but the only one who seem to enjoy life are the ones who can afford handsome money as offerings. Why God does not see the plight of poverty stricken people, people starving, dying, diseased ? They say GOD is purifying us, as a goldsmith purify the gold so that it can shine. But what good it does to gold, it benefits only wearer. They say that all our pain isthe result of our " poorva Karma" and he is freeing us from that by giving these punishment as a chance of repentence. But is God a headmaster just waiting for a chance to rebuke kids on slightest mistake? And if he is God, Why he allows us to do mistakes? I always used to percieve God as a creator and we are his childraen , then how he is partial to only few of us.
I will try to find the answers in the book.
